Free naloxone (aka Narcan) Training by Anchorage Health Department staff. Naloxone is a nasal spray that can reverse an opioid overdose and save a life. The goal of distributing naloxone and educating people about how to prevent, recognize, and intervene in overdoses is to prevent deaths.

The Alaska Chapter of BetterInvesting is hosting an investing class to help create and manage a portfolio of individual company stocks. Our goal is to provide information and education to help you improve your investment results.
May's class will focus on investing in individual company stocks and discuss setting up or joining an investment club which could help you and your members learn about investing from each other. The presentation will teach criteria used by BetterInvesting and introduce the steps to join or form an investment club.
The class will be held on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 6 PM at the Z. J. Loussac Public Library in the Moose Room. The class should last around 1 hour including a question-and-answer period.

In partnership with the Anchorage Public Library, the People Mover Travel Trainer will present at
recurring gatherings to teach you how to:
• Read Transit maps and schedules
• Access & customize transit-related apps
• Set up mTicket for Half Fare discounts
• Bike rack training… and more!
After classroom training, the group will ride a route to/from the Downtown Transit Center with the
Travel Trainer. Training is open to the public and registration is not required.
