Eligibility
You can vote in Alaska if:
- You are a United States citizen
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Have been a resident of the state and of the district where you are going to vote for at least 30 days before an election
- Have registered to vote by the registration deadline and are not registered to vote anywhere else
April 2 Municipal Election
- The regular municipal election will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
- Sunday, March 3, 2024 is the last day to register to vote or update your registration. For more information, call the Alaska Division of Elections at 907-522-8683
- This election is a Vote at Home/Vote by Mail election. Ballot packages will be mailed to qualified, registered Anchorage voters on March 12.
- Ballots can be returned to a Secure Drop Box, an Anchorage Vote Center, or by mailing through the USPS.
- If you will be away and unable to receive your ballot at your registered mailing address during the 21-day period before Election Day, you may request that a ballot be sent to a temporary address by completing the Application to Vote at a Temporary Address. Applications to vote at a temporary address must be received by the Municipal Clerk's Office by 5:00 p.m., one week before election day.
- Anchorage Vote Centers will open on Monday, March 25, 2024.

Anchorage Vote Centers
If you need assistance voting, if you need to replace a lost or damaged ballot, if you didn't receive a ballot, or if you would like to vote your mailed ballot, you may vote at an Anchorage Vote Center. Vote Centers are open approximately nine days before Election Day.
