August 18 Primary Election
This is a regular, in-person election. A Nonpartisan Top Four Primary is used to determine the top four vote getters that will advance to the General Election, regardless of political affiliation.
- Sunday, July 19, 2026 - Deadline for voters to register to vote or update their registration.
- Monday, August 3, 2026 - Absentee In-Person, Early Vote, Electronic Transmission and Special Needs voting begins.
- Saturday, August 8, 2026 - Deadline to receive absentee by-mail applications.
- Monday, August 17, 2026 - Deadline to receive absentee electronic transmission ballot applications.
- Tuesday, August 18, 2026 - Election day, absentee ballots must be postmarked by today. Electronic transmission ballots must be received by 8 PM Alaska Time.
