Hold Your Next Event at the Library!
There’s room for you at the Library. From business meetings to weddings we have a space for your event. Free parking and convenient locations in Mid-town, Mountain View and Eagle River.
Find books in over a dozen languages in our World Language collection for kids, teens, and adults. The Library collects recreational and informational materials in languages other than English to meet the needs of the community. Materials in a variety of languages are collected based on community demographics and availability of materials.
With community input we’ve been able to add new collections in Ukrainian and Swahili , and enhance our Hmong, French, Japanese, and Russian, collections. We’d love to hear what YOU would like to see in the collection too.
The Library welcomes suggestions from the community for possible purchase of materials. All suggestions are given serious consideration. Suggestions are considered by the same criteria as all other materials purchased for the Library. Please include the language, for the item you’re suggesting, in the section for “Why you believe the item should be in the library.”
Looking for more languages, ebooks or audiobooks? Check out the Libby and Hoopla apps.
Ready to learn a new language? Try Transparent Languages and Kids Speak! with over 100 options including Indigenous languages like Yup’ik, Gwich’in, and Denaakk'e (Koyukon).
