My First School Bus at Loussac

Where: Z.J. Loussac Library : Wilda Marston Theatre
To help kids (and their grownups) prepare for that first school bus ride, Anchorage Public Library is hosting a My First School Bus event. Pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students will have a chance to practice getting on and off a real school bus while they learn about school bus safety with the Anchorage School District.
Families will meet in the Atrium on the first floor before participating in both an information session and short storytime in the Wilda Marston Theatre and bus boarding practice. Only children will be allowed to board the bus, which loads in front of the main entrance of the Loussac Library. The school bus will remain stationary during the entire event.
Please note: We anticipate high interest for the program. The bus can accommodate approximately 80 children during the boarding portion. Plan to arrive on time and follow library staff instructions so that everyone has a chance to participate in both the informational and bus boarding sessions.
